Teen Art Studio: Oct 13 - Nov 3

Service Description

Teen Art Studio is designed for young artists who want to strengthen their skills and develop more confident, independent studio habits. Students will explore observation, drawing from reference, proportion, contour, line, form, value, texture, space, colour, and other foundational concepts while learning to approach artwork thoughtfully and build it in stages rather than rushing to detail. Sketchbook practice, materials knowledge, experimentation, creative decision-making, and reflection are woven throughout the course. Guided instruction provides a strong technical foundation while leaving room for students to develop their own ideas, interests, and artistic voice. The course is designed sequentially, with each week building on previous concepts so students can deepen their skills and apply them with increasing independence. The goal is not simply to complete projects, but to build skills and habits that support an ongoing art practice. Classes continue through December 15, with registration offered in short blocks throughout the fall. Current students will receive priority registration for the following block before remaining spaces are opened to the public. Tuesdays, 7:00-8:15 pm A basic materials list will be provided upon registration. The studio will provide some project-specific materials.
