About Creative Practice

A calm art and wellness studio in Brockville for beginners, returning makers, and practicing artists.

Why This Studio Exists

Creative Practice was built as a place to return to making with care, clarity, and consistency.

It is a studio for learning, experimenting, and building a creative rhythm in a calm, welcoming environment. The focus is process over perfection, with guidance that helps people begin, return, and keep going.

Creativity can be a skill-building practice, a restorative practice, and a way of staying connected to yourself. Creative Practice is designed to support all three.

Start Where You Are

Whether you are beginning for the first time, returning after a long break, or looking for a steadier creative rhythm, there is a place for you here.

Meet the Founder

Creative Practice was founded by Heather Savage, an artist, educator, and curator based in Brockville, Ontario.

Heather created the studio to bring together the parts of creative life she cares about most: strong instruction, thoughtful process, and environments where people feel welcome to explore at their own pace.

Her background in art education and community-based gallery work informs the studio’s approach to learning, connection, and creative growth.
