Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: March 29, 2026

Creative Practice is committed to treating all people with dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity. We are working to improve access to our studio, services, and communications, and to identify and reduce barriers where reasonably possible.

We welcome feedback on how we can improve accessibility for participants, visitors, and website users.

Our approach

We aim to provide an inclusive and welcoming experience for people with disabilities. Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • reasonable accommodation requests,

  • accessible communication methods,

  • accessible formats upon request, and

  • support in using our services.

If you need an accommodation, communication support, or information in an alternate format, please contact us. We will work with you to determine a suitable approach, in accordance with applicable accessibility requirements.

Physical access to the studio

Creative Practice is located at street level in downtown Brockville. On-street parking is available, two public parking lots are located within a short walking distance, and a bus stop is nearby.

Please note that our studio may not be fully barrier-free in all respects. In particular, the washroom currently has a step at the entrance and may not be accessible for all mobility needs. We welcome advance contact to discuss access needs and determine whether we can offer a suitable accommodation or support.

Website accessibility

We want our website to be as accessible and usable as possible. We are working to improve readability, navigation, structure, and compatibility with assistive technologies over time.

Under Ontario’s accessibility rules, public website WCAG obligations apply to designated public sector organizations and large organizations, while businesses with fewer than 50 employees are not currently required under the IASR to follow those website standards. Even so, we believe accessibility is important and aim to improve our website on an ongoing basis.

Feedback

We welcome feedback about accessibility in our studio, services, or website. You may contact us by phone or through the website contact form. If you request it, we will try to communicate with you in an accessible format or with appropriate communication support.
