Parent & Child Pumpkin Carving & Painting Workshop

Service Description

Make a little Halloween mess together! In this playful child-and-adult workshop, each pair will work together on one pumpkin, beginning with the wonderfully messy job of opening it up and scooping out the seeds. From there, you’ll create your own design using carving, painting, or a combination of both. Rather than following one set project, each pair will be encouraged to make creative choices, with a curated selection of templates and inspiration available for anyone who would like a starting point. Each registration includes one pumpkin for one child and one accompanying adult to create together, along with guidance, materials, paint and carving tools. We’ll also rescue the pumpkin seeds along the way. Participants who would like to roast some at home can take home a portion of cleaned seeds along with a simple roasting recipe. No previous art experience is needed. All materials included. Please note: Because carved pumpkins are perishable, how long your finished pumpkin lasts will depend on weather and storage conditions. We’ll share simple tips to help it stay fresh as long as possible.
