Needle Felting: Painting with Wool

Service Description

Discover the art of needle felting (dry felting) in this beginner-friendly adult workshop with artist Jennifer Sine. Using specialty wool and felting tools, participants will create a detailed 4 x 6 English Border Garden while learning how to build an image through colour, layering, texture, and careful needle work. Jennifer will guide participants through the process of following the design, blending wool colours, building shapes and layers, and adding finer details to create depth and texture. Needle felting uses barbed felting needles to interlock wool fibres and gradually build an image on a backing surface. Unlike wet felting, no water or soap is used. The small scale of the project allows participants to focus on detail while learning techniques they can continue using in future dry-felting projects. No knitting, crocheting, sewing, or previous felting experience is required. All specialty materials are included.
