Service Description
Spend an evening playing with pumpkins and making something entirely your own. Halloween may be a celebration we associate with childhood, but grown-ups deserve an excuse to play too! In this relaxed adult workshop, you’ll begin with the wonderfully messy part - opening, scooping and preparing your pumpkin - before transforming it however you choose. Carve it. Paint it. Add pattern, colour and decorative details. Combine techniques. Keep it simple and graphic or take your time creating something wonderfully elaborate. Rather than following one set project, participants will be encouraged to experiment and make individual creative choices. A curated selection of templates and visual inspiration will be available for anyone who would like a starting point, along with a variety of decorative materials to spark ideas and help you make your pumpkin uniquely yours. The 2.5-hour format gives you plenty of time to plan, experiment and work at your own pace. Each registration includes one pumpkin, guidance, carving tools, paint and decorative materials. We’ll also rescue the pumpkin seeds along the way. Participants who would like to roast some at home can take home a portion of cleaned seeds along with a simple roasting recipe. No previous art experience is needed.
